Eye Care FAQs

How often should I get my eyes examined?

It’s recommended to have a comprehensive eye exam every one to two years, depending on your age, risk factors, and whether you wear glasses or contact lenses.

You should schedule an appointment if you experience any of the following: blurry vision, eye strain, headaches, difficulty seeing at night, flashes of light, or if you notice changes in your vision.

To reduce digital eye strain, follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. Adjust screen brightness, use proper lighting, and consider blue light blocking glasses.

Always wash your hands before handling lenses, follow your eye care provider’s instructions, replace lenses as recommended, and never sleep in lenses unless prescribed.

Yes! Foods rich in vitamins C and E, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants (like leafy greens, carrots, and fish) can support eye health. A balanced diet is essential.

Avoid rubbing your eye. Rinse it gently with clean water or saline solution. If irritation persists, seek professional help.

Many eye conditions can be prevented or managed by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, protecting your eyes from UV rays, and keeping up with regular eye exams.

Common symptoms include persistent redness, blurry vision, floaters, sensitivity to light, and difficulty seeing at night. Early detection is key, so consult your eye care professional if you experience these symptoms.

Wearing sunglasses with 100% UV protection is essential to shield your eyes from harmful UV rays, which can contribute to cataracts and other eye conditions.

You can manage dry eyes by using artificial tears, staying hydrated, taking breaks from screens, and using a humidifier. Consult your eye doctor for persistent issues.
